Loop the Lake Bike Ride

SAME DAY WALK UP REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED STARTING AT 9 AM AT OLBRICH PARK. PLENTY OF SPACE AVAILABLE!

Loop the Lake is Clean Lakes Alliance's annual bike ride around Lake Monona that highlights our community’s lakes and lakeshore bike paths. Event proceeds support our ongoing lake improvement and protection efforts. In 2016, more than 600 riders participated, and we hope this year will be our biggest and most visible ride yet! 

Participants will ride along the scenic Lake Loop route through Madison and Monona. Riders will travel 12 miles clockwise around Lake Monona, starting and ending at Olbrich Park. Most recreational bikers will finish in about 1 hour and 15 minutes and the course will remain open until 2 p.m.

For just $35, you can expect... 

• Fun stops for pizza, beer and ice cream courtesy of The Roman Candle along the way.
• Complimentary grilled brat, hamburger, veggie burger or hot dog lunch thanks to Woodman's Markets
• FREE cold drink, including beer for ages 21 and up.

9 a.m. check-in and 10 a.m. start

Transportation: Bike racks will be available at the event. Please consider biking to the event or parking off-site and biking in. Limited parking is available at Olbrich Park.

Pricing: $35 per rider or FREE for riders aged 10 and under. Each rider will receive an event t-shirt, a picnic lunch and a beverage (beer available for ages 21 and up).

Team Challenge: Build a team of ten or more people and you could win $1,000 in gift cards! When you register, select "I am the team captain," and ask your teammates to fill out your name as "team captain." We will draw a random winner when registration closes. Corporate sponsored teams do not qualify for this challenge.

Online registration will close on the Tuesday before the event; after this, riders must register at the event. Unfortunately, we will be unable to refund tickets sales in the event of a cancellation due to weather.
