Clean Lakes Alliance presents
2018 Shoreline Swim
in Lake Monona
Sat, Jul 28 at 7am
When it comes to Madison lakes, it’s not only the fish that count on clean water for swimming. Hundreds of swimmers plunge into our lakes each year, especially as part of our vibrant triathlon scene. Whether you are a competitive swimmer looking for a great training opportunity, or a recreational swimmer who cares about clean water, you can feel good knowing that your registration makes a difference to help protect our lakes.
Choose from a 1.2 or 2.4 mile event in the same waters as Ironman Wisconsin. Top finishers will recieve medals, including the top three male and female finishers for the 2.4-mile event and the top three finishers overall for 1.2-mile event.
$50 Regular Price - until July 13th
$60 Last Chance - until July 25th
$75 Same Day
Online registration will close on the Wednesday before the event; after this, swimmers must register at the event. Unfortunately, we will be unable to refund tickets sales in the event of a cancellation due to weather or water conditions.
All swimmers will receive a race cap and t-shirt. Gender-specific changing tents will be available. You may leave personal items unattended at your own risk. Help us reduce waste by bringing your own filled water bottle.
Swim events will be chip timed. Wetsuits are optional. Packet pickup runs from 6 to 6:45 a.m. and the race begins promptly at 7 o'clock. The course will be open for two and a half hours through 9:30 a.m.
By registering for the event, participants agree to the terms of the Acknowledgement, Waiver and Release from Liability (AWRL). Please read the document carefully. Minors must submit form signed by parent or guardian to participate. Sign up by Friday, July 20 to guarantee a race t-shirt.
